IBAN

IBAN: This is the International Bank Account Number. It is based on international standards related to customer account numbers. It contains account information such as the bank number, branch number, currency type, account number, and sequence. It is used in place of an account in financial transfers from one person or corporation to another.

In Palestine, the IBAN number consists of 29 numbers and letters, as follows:

  • PS: country code
  • 23: Two check boxes by country
  • AISB bank coding for the Arab Islamic Bank
  • Account number, currency, and branch sequence
  • IBAN example for Arab Islamic Bank: PS23AISB150220550200000117001
If the account number consists of 7 digits, the number 0 must be entered at the beginning of the number
