“The Arab Islamic Bank" and "Ministry of Education and Higher Education" Sign a Memorandum of Understanding to Enhance Cooperation in Education and Sustainable Development

The General Manager of the Arab Islamic Bank, Hani Nasser, and the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Amjad Barhm, signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at enhancing the strategic partnership between the two parties in the field of education. 

The memorandum seeks to strengthen this partnership through the implementation of specialized training programs for teachers, the provision of modern educational equipment, and the promotion of extracurricular activities that contribute to achieving sustainable development goals. It also includes collaboration in scientific research, raising financial awareness among students, encouraging employees to engage in volunteer work in schools, and supporting competitions and events that foster innovation and creativity among students. 

The signing of this memorandum reaffirms the Arab Islamic Bank's commitment to supporting the education sector, which is considered one of the most important sectors receiving special attention as part of the bank's social responsibility, and holds a top priority in its developmental strategy. The bank enjoys a long-term strategic relationship with the ministry, having provided numerous programs and initiatives to support teachers and develop their skills, in addition to contributing to quality educational projects in collaboration with the ministry and the General Union of Palestinian Teachers. 

In this context, Barhm emphasized the importance of this memorandum as a significant step towards strengthening the partnership between the public and private sectors to support the educational process. He pointed out that this cooperation will contribute to realizing the ministry's vision for the development of education, expressing hope for more meaningful involvement of Palestinian banks in efforts to support education in Gaza. He commended the efforts of the Arab Islamic Bank in supporting schools, teachers, and students, and expressed hope for tangible achievements that benefit the entire education sector. 

For his part, Nasser stated: "We are proud of this partnership, which reflects the bank's commitment to supporting the education sector and enhancing its role in building an aware and educated generation. Our investment in education is an investment in the future of our community, and we will work with the ministry to contribute to effective initiatives that will help develop the educational environment. This collaboration is part of the bank's strategy to enhance social responsibility, where we aim to provide the necessary support to teachers and students, whether through training or providing modern equipment, in order to create an advanced educational environment that aligns with the demands of the digital age and prepares students to be the leaders of the future.
